There are many Vanwall renditions out there, but most look ungainly and just not quite right. So being a Wright I'm having a go. A work in progress, body by John warren, Wheels by Colin, blood sweat and tears by me.

Looks very nice, Chris. What wheel inserts are in the rear wheels, can't quite see.

yup, your right about it looking like a Vanwall, that shell has really caught the stance and shape The Vanwall is one of those cars, you MUST get it spot on or it just dose not work looks wise. Another car that is hard to get looking right is the 1961 Ferrari GP car, one poorly carved line and the whole thing looks wrong. suppa work Mac P

Very interesting post and it makes me want to get one. Agreed most of the models I have seen are pretty clunky and that body has really captured some elegance and looks really good!
Thanks Chris for another interesting posting - look forward to see the progress.

Chris Could you let me know where you got your white "Vanwall" name from - (I am thinking I must start building some green 1950's cars).

Hi Richard,
Alas, I'm afraid they came from a very old sheet I purchased from the UK many years ago.
There was only 2 transfers on the sheet.
