I've been very remiss lately about about posting anything on recent builds. Some aren't really relevant to this forum - Policar conversions of Scalextric F1 cars. Here is a March 722 Formula 2 car from 1972 I've built for a friend. I carved the body myself and used the wings and wheel inserts from a Policar March 701. The engine is made from plasticard and various bits from my 'it'll come in useful' box. The exhaust is made from aluminium tube and wire. Best Regards David

David, what a fantastic looking car! The fine scale of the detail bits - struts, arms, rods, etc. - is perfect, which goes so far in making the car look like a real car.
More pics please!

Thanks Matt. Unfortunately I only have the photographs below and the car was posted to my friend yesterday so I can't take any others. Best Regards David

Veeeery nice! I like most the look from the rear! How many pounds of wire did you bend? Are there any decal sheets for this car or did you print them by your own? Best regards, Taffy

Hi Taffy
Not much wire bending; the exhaust is quite simple really. I got hold of some Penelope Pitlane March 721X decals which are suitable for the main STP ones. The Ford, Goodyear and other decals were from my 'spares' box. I made my own Levi Jeans and Raifeisenkasse ones. The Niki Lauda decals are from Indycals.
Best Regards
David
