mmhh.... "Großer Preis von Georgia"....sounds very familiar to me :-) But don´t send any cars to me, because I have no track at home at the moment . There will be a new one, of course, sometime...the "Isle of Jersey road race", very interesting scenery!

Unfortunately, my hopes of entering the Gran Premio della Garagista have been shattered.... quite literally; into three pieces... After spending hours trimming and lightening the body, I somehow managed to snap it. Apologies for the poor picture, taken with my mobile phone. Sorry, Mark. Kind regards, Russell

Russell, I'm sorry to hear that. You can't salvage the shell with Super glue? Those look like clean breaks to me, but I'm probably missing something. Your mobile phone pictures look much better than my mobile phone pictures by the way.

That's no big problem some super glue, modeling clay, silicone ant some more resin will soon fix the problem! But will delay the build a little while!

I guess I had a really bad Friday the 13th. I have now realised that the cars are only due in Atlanta on September 1st, not August 1st! I have a bit more time to sort this out....
Kind regards,
Russell

I sincerely regret that I won't be able to finish my entry in time. Hopefully I will be invited again next year.
With kind regard,
Russell

I know how this happens, my Honda is weeks away, so hoping to upgrade my old VRAA BRM so it can go in the post early this week.

Just got home after my trip to Chicago and Fort Wayne. I'm tired but happy.
Taffy gets the BT19, Jay the BT24, Charles the Cooper T60 and I'll have another Hondola. I'll have those packed up in a few days and get the cars out to all of you.
Jay, Matt and Ken.. you were great race hosts... hope we can count on you again next year. There should be a few more models to choose from as the Prewing guys have started production and there's a Matra MS10 now available from Penelope Pitlane. Good stuff.
cheers,

My 2012 driver was great, I just need to change the car! I'm thinking that next year will be a 'blue' year for my proxy cars. So JYS moves from BRM to Matra in 2013. First fitting of my 2013 GPd ? car... it's a bit of a ground hugger right now, but I need to source the correct sized wheels and tires, after which I'll make some adjustments. No wobbly front wheels on this car.. at least not yet.

The last of the cars mailed on October 22 was delivered to its owner today. The pretty (and quick) Ferrari is safely in Taffy's hands. International first class mail continues to puzzle me; the transit and delivery times for the two cars bound for Australia were a week to 10 days quicker than for this car to Germany. I'm relieved.

After several days between hope and dispair I´m a lucky man again. A "no-return-situation" would have been too frustrating for me... I have never been waiting for the postman´s ringing like in these days. The Ferrari´s way from Germany to the USA only took 5 or 7 days, I cannot imagine, why the way back has taken so long.
But the lucky end of this story gives me the power to plan my next years car!
VBR, Taffy
