Solarbotics FF 030 Motors Buy them by the dozen since more than a few will probably burn out quickly. A perfect size for 1.5L cars when you want to add a full body driver. www.solarbotics.com/product/rm1a/

RS 19" wheels are that much closer as we have a definite statement from the man doing the computer drawings of the different spoke patterns that they will be done next week, come what may. After that there will be little to do,but produce the etchings and check it all works.

Well, we got the etches back today and alas there is a tolerance problem. In our efforts to keep them looking very fine, the holes in the spoke "discs" do not always pass over the bits they're supposed to. All I have to do is respecify tolerances to two dimensions and they will be fine. I will be hand modifying a wheel today to allow the discs to fit to show how good they look and by the time you've all got over your astonishment at the appearance, the etchers will have changed the measurements at fault.
So, lookout for the appearance of updates to the RS wheel story.
Cheers, Martin

Here we are. I very slightly modified the wheel turning as it is so much easier than modifying the etch! But here is a 36 spoke, Austin 7 type wheel next to the Amilcar. The tyre is an old Airfix Type, which Colin will be reproducing, more or less for these wheels.
