Taffy, A Porsche 356 eh? And you drove that home. Sehr schön Now, I really am envious. It sure beats my newer but rapidly depreciating Audi! Cheers.

Excellent. Do you have details on the red Mercedes?
The picture quality of all cars is excellent, as is the quality of presentation of all exhibits.
Peter.

Thank you for all your comments! mark: no reason to be obvious. Since I own this car (I bought it in 1987), it gave me both: wonderful joy and deep depression....I don´t want to extend this discussion, because this is an F1-forum.... Peter Seager-Thomas: I´m sorry, but I have no informations about that red Mercedes, because I don´t have a program/booklet (the tickets have been an unexpected gift). I suspect, the car is related to the 1924 Targa Florio winning Mercedes, but the Targa-car had the spare tires on the back, this one had a boat tail. Whatever, it sounded great! I saw and heard the prewar-cars at the prestart (empty accu, no pics :-(( ), and it was like an earthquake.... Too much of praise for the pictures, Peter! It was very difficult to take good photos, because of the sharp difference between dark shades and bright sunshine, in addition the driving cars, spectators entering the scene........

The Cooper (#134) looks very sleek. Is it a Formula 2 or 3 model? I'm guessing that because of the engine. I found a link to the Schloss Dyck Classic Days Event. That's where we all should have been this past weekend. Well, I'll speak for myself, I wish I had been there. www.schloss-dyck-classic-days.de/index.php

Excuse me, Mark, I don´t know it (see above: i had no program booklet), but I suspect, it was a F3-car. Here 27minutes on youtube: youtu.be/LmWtSX_dAjEworth not every single minute, but see and hear...

Hi Taffy,
Is the festival every year? Let us something know in time, then this would be something interesting to do Next year?
Cheers, Danny

Yes Danni,
this is a good idea. The festival is every year and it would be a good place to meet you there. It is near Düsseldorf / Neuss, so I think, this might be not so far away from you.
Kind regards, Taffy
