Wanting some old French cars for pre-1950 races I decided to build a couple of the above cars. Dimensions were hard to obtain but I got a wheelbase from somewhere and scaled everything from photos as best I could. The result wasn't too bad:

Nice front...the grill looks sharp.

With wheelbase dimension I also started the Darracq. Sometimes it is also possible from sites like Blueprint.com to find some plans, but be careful with these, sometimes they give mirror images. If you are aware of this, you just can flip them back with Photo-shop or any other program.
I'm curious how you made the grill? And what kind of body is it, Resin, Wood? How did you make the Louvre?
Next time you plan to make new model, could it be possible to see more pictures of the processing stages please?
I love to see someone making a full scratch build, well done.
It seem to me that you have some gut fun in making it, hope to see more of own builds in the future.
Cheers, Danny

The grille is chrome finish sticky backed vinyl cut on my small vinyl cutter, following drawing it up on the Craft Robo Vinyl Cutter computer software.
The body is resin, cast in a rubber mould which was poured over a jelutong wood buck.
The louvres are louvre transfers that I bought on-line but I can't recall where from.

Sorry, I didn't realise that I hadn't logged in when I posted the previous message.

If you ever found out again, where you got these louvre transfers from, please let me know. Or there is perhaps somebody else who knows.

Hi Bruce, good to have you with us, welcome.
I would echo Dannys thoughts abut a few pictures of the build (yes, we all get so tied up that we forget to take them) since we are of course a scratchbuild forum.
Other folk's angles on things are always welcome.
Best regards, Peter.
