Hi Taffy, that is a nice car!
A few questions.
Who are the suppliers of the decals?
What is the paint colour/manufacturer you have used?
How does it drive!
Best regards, Peter

Hello, John and Peter,
thank you for your compliments!
The colour is a spraycan from an unknown producer, I bought it eventually in a 1-EURO-shop. But it is marked according to the german RAL-colour scheme as "RAL 5012 Lichtblau", i.e. lightblue. In my opinion, this colour comes near to the Talbots colour.
Decals: the "Lago Record"-decals came with the kit. The starting numbers are from Calligraphe, a french manufacturer. I donĀ“t know, if they still exist, because I bought these decals several years ago. The decals are in 1:43 scale, but the bigger ones fit well in 1:32, too. The sheet is called: "Planche generale Nr. 5 Echelle 1/43"
Unfortunately, I only could do some test drives with this car and with the BRM V16, they have not seen a race yet. To use them in a race, they would need to be trimmed, I think.
Kind regards,
|

Taffy,
The Talbot Lago is such an elegant car, and your build certainly shows the car at its best.
I'm wondering how the Mac Pinches car compares with the Talbot Lago kit from George Turner.
PS: I love the BRM V16 as well. I also have a Mac Pinches BRM but mine would suffer from any comparison to your build, so I won't post a picture.
Happy New Year.
