Originally built as my entry for the F1 proxy, one of my favourite Lotus grand prix cars the BRM engined Lotus 43 H-16 Charlie Fitzpatrick "Classic" bodyshell, scratchbuilt chassis using BWA slimline front and rear brackets, BWA wheels and inserts, Maxi-Models driver figure and decals from various sheets in my spares box. The slot car is no longer my entry as I'm building something else instead but that's another story... David

Nice build now can only wait for pics of the McLaren build, if it looks this good.

I spent way too much time early this morning watching Peter Windsor videos in his blog site. Thank you Nigel McKeone. I do mean that: some of those reports and videos are simply brilliant.
In tribute to a spectacular restoration of the 1966 car and a wonderful build by David Lawson, I thought I'd embed one of Windsor's Lotus 43 video's in David's build thread. You can compare the original car lovingly restored the beautiful car that David created a few months ago.
PS.. while I don't think all that much of Peter's sweater (jumper? pullover?), I would sure like to get my hands on one like Andy is wearing.

Beautiful David, wow!
Not seen this car before, thank you for sharing.
You guys really do set the bench mark for scratch building.
