Hi guys, First car build post here, and it's nothing more than a glorified repaint I know, I have a few older builds to show, but as with everything it's time to post, and a few half tonners in the pipeline. This car started life as a Scalextric RS01 shell, and in it's original guise, it ran in a classic Scalextric F1 championship at the Presto Park club, circa 2008/2009, winning the 2009 club championship. Since, it laid in the back of the cupboard, until a few months ago, to be raced again at Presto, for the Classic weekend there a few weeks ago. A PCB board chassis was constructed, with a Scaleauto 30k motor, offset gear at 0.7mm, NSR wheels and tyres, and extensively tested. The whole car was reprinted, the driver replaced with a modern Scalextric figure, hand painted of course, decals from Reissorg, and clear coated. Details were added, spark plug leads too from red thread. The race result was 7th overall, hampered by a blown motor in the second heat, forcing me to use a Slot.it 21k standard motor, and against the hot motors. It was awful. This has been replaced, and I'm hoping to give it a run at Wolverhampton next month. Anyway photos Regards Jon
