Hi I have found a really good source for wire mesh for fuel injection/ carburettor screening and radiator grills. The website is www.themeshcompany.com. They supply a wide range of mesh sizes in small quantities (no minimum order) at reasonable cost. I bought some 80 grade and 130 grade - the 80 is probably a bit course and inflexible for intake screening but would be fine for radiators, the 130 is about right for screening (maybe a slightly coarser weave would be OK too) and is easy to mould to shape. I'm hoping to show the results in a posting this weekend about my proxy Cooper T81. In looking for aluminium rod/wire I came across this company http://www.wires..co.uk who provide a range of diameters of wire which would be good for exhausts. Regards David

I don't know if this is helpful or not, but I found 6 permanent coffee filters on sale for $3.00 each. The filters have 3 sections each of gold colored very fine mesh about 4 inches by 2 inches. so for $12.00 I ended up with about 6 feet by 2 inches of this mesh. It should last a long time , and it bends nicely and looks good. It will take paint if you prefer silver or black. Bob

Welcome to the Forum Bob,
Wire mesh coffee filters are my 'wire grille" and covers of choice. $3 a filter seems like a pretty good price to me. I don't think I've ever sourced them quite that cheaply.
Cheers,
