Hi At last the Cooper is finished and ready for posting on Monday! It will be a real privilege to know my car will be in company with the superbly made cars that have already arrived in the Forest Hall paddock and those yet to do so. It's been a great learning experience and, yes, there are things I would do differently next time and one or two things I'm slightly disappointed with. However it bears some resemblance to the original (not least in the weight department!) and it goes round my track well enough without obvious vices - no doubt the proxy drivers will find some. Anyway here are some photos of the final stages of build and the completed car. Best Regards David Note these photos have been added to replace the one's originally from Photobucket. Details Body - PreWing, many thanks Mel! Chassis - brass and piano wire and a modified AB Slotsport motor bracket Wheels and tyres - DArt Gears - Slot.It offset 10/23 Motor - Scaleauto 23k Guide -Slot.It Weight - about 85 grams!

David, there is so much to appreciate in your build. I just noticed that windscreen shield (?). A great touch. The wiring you did would have driven me locko, but you handled it superbly. The Cooper team at Forest Hall will be very formidable. Great job!

Many thanks for the complements, chaps, much appreciated! The windscreen extension is just a piece of thin aluminium shaped and painted and stuck onto the main screen. For some reason Rindt needed extra protection from the wind and rain. I don't think the Ginther car had one.
Best Regards
David
