Perhaps there is something special about November? I want to extend my welcome to Eric, Thomas and Steve. I look forward to seeing all of your work and projects when each of you care to share them on the Forum. And Howard, I'm very impressed with your debut after some months of 'lurking' as you called it. That's a lovely collection of cars you have built. So all is well. Well, almost all is well. The world is turned upside down when the the most successful constructor and car of the 1.5L period (that would be Lotus and the Lotus 25) gives way to a one year wonder. Even three of them. Too much...too much... However, I expect Chris will come to his senses at some point, and we will see the header graced with the appropriate successor Marque --a pictures of something stunning in Dark Lust. Green. I'm not even going to try to explain why I currently have 3 bloody red cars under construction.

Mark, the red surprise is very festive as the Christmas season approaches. The header photo looks like Monaco 1961, my chosen race for my long term grid project. It's a sign, I tell you. A star in the night sky from the gods of scratchbuilding (well, Chris at least) that the time has come to make a start on the ambitious, multi-year endeavour. First step: take a deep breath. Next: open a thread in the appropriate sub-forum to affirm my commitment. Please stand by...

Stewart, Good luck with Hill's and Brooks' P48/57s. The missing link (s) will be built at last! Since you are building the starters rather than all the cars that practiced, at least you don't have to worry about constructing two Emeryson Maseratis.

Thanks for the welcome Mark. We'll see how I do. This all new territory for me. It's nice to not have a clue for a change and to do and learn something new. Then walk over to that track of mine and give a spin. With RC boats, Submarines And planes ( those other hobbies I do, do) you have to go to a lake or runway somewhere far from home. Load up a lot of big models and support equipment and take a long drive. But with this hobby it can all been done in the same location. From bench to track. Very appealing indeed. Steve

Well, ya dig around in a thread and what do you come up with? Stewart joining the ranks of those who commit to the creation of an entire F1 grid! Outstanding! Good luck with the project.
