WUNDERBAR!!! I like very much your track Taffy, mine is inspired in Le Mans, 1960`s style too. Lovely inside of the race control room... the black transistor radio looks like a Grundig Satellite . Regards, Dan.

Thanks Taffy, I will have to have a look for some of that grass carpet locally. Yes the 50s/60s motor bike guys with the Nortons and Triumphs etc used to wear the half shell/Cromwell helmets, it sets off the era. Oh by the way, will you be going to Goodwood Revival this year? Come on Dan, lets see your track. Regards Nigel

@dan: ... mine is inspired in Le Mans, 1960`s style too. I agree with Nigel: show us, what you have! ... the black transistor radio looks like a Grundig Satellite . ...but it was only a small piece of clear plastic... @nigel Oh by the way, will you be going to Goodwood Revival this year? Unfortunally not. Once again, I have to push one of my great dreams into the future. But I really hope, I will match it in 2016... Best regards!

Hey the F-1 cars only and preferably a BRM policeman is on Sabbatical, also in 1967 the French GP was at Le Mans, and that was a spectacular failure...but that's another story.
Just hide the sports cars when you take the picture. And if you can find a Brabham BT-24 or two that'll work as well.

Yes, I am aware that the 1967 French GP was held at the Bugatti circuit, (the French GP changed scenario almost every year in the mid/late 60`s). Actually I am working on the Prewings` BT19 right now. Let me see if I can post pictures of my Le Mans circuit then, hope you`ll like them. Kind regards, Dan.

Well, Dan, come on!.... A small update for now: To finish the pit building, I had to build some furniture for the Pit Marshal´s office and for the „infirmary“. Now the building is complete and I only have to place some spectators on the rooftop. The next days/weeks, there is a paintjob to be done. Many of the small people are wearing too bright and colourful clothing and need to be coloured down to the more „grey“ clothing of the early 60´s Here you can see, what I mean, left after and right before the repainting: I have it done yet for the around 120 sitting spectators in the grandstand, and I have to do it for the app. 30 spectators on the roof....

The furniture looks great - a very realistic modern design. Is there some Bauhaus influence there?
But what's going on at this race track? Maybe there is a break between races and all the guys are in the beer tent?

Maybe there is a break between races and all the guys are in the beer tent? The paramedics are busy with the accident....and the spectators: I promise, one of the next pictures will show a busy and crowded grandstand! (Although a beer tent would be a good idea! )

A little update: I was offline for some weeks, because I had catched a heavy cold and couldn´t continue with my hobby for a while. That is, what happened in the last weeks: The „upper“ track area is almost ready, all fences and hedges are built. Note the Jersey flag on the rooftop of the pit-building...now we have arrived at the right place!.... Spectators have come to watch the races from the grandstand (aurora, are you satisfied now?): Beside of the Dunlop-tent, I have added a small filling station for the racecars. Another tin-box for the gastank, a little hut, two old Carrera gas dispensers repainted in „BP“-livery and fitted with new counters, oil-barrels, staff... The open box in the Paddock is „furnished“ now. I have to stop the work on the track for a while, because first I have to build a couple of cars. I will keep you updated, when new things happen on Jersey Circuit.....

Thank you for your comment, Andi. But let me tell you, that I would be more than happy, if I could build cars like you do! Trackbuilding is only a poor substitute for that...

I couldn´t wait to continue the works on the tracks´scenery. The left and bigger part of the scene is, what scares me most, so I decided to begin with it. There will be the harbour area and a small farm. I started with the central building, a shed in the harbour (which will be one of three buildings in the harbour area). I prepared a file, that shows the front of a shed and that I had downloaded some years ago. I did edit it with photo software, printed it and after cutting it out, I glued it to architecture cardbord. For the roof, I took some corrugated cardboard. As roof rails and as a slide bar for the sliding gates I added some wood slads from New Years Eve-rockets. I weathered them with the „colour“ from used brush thinner. To prepare the base plate I have used the „concrete“ structure of the free downloadable file „Low relief warehouse“ from www.scalescenes.com, that I had upscaled. I really love „Scalescenes“ and have bought several files there to use it for my track. layed out... ...and with the shed mounted: To be continued...

The 2nd industrial building in the harbour is ready, and a little bit more scenery is done. I took the „Low relief warehouse“ from [http://www.scalescenes.com]Scalescenes [/url]. Its a free downloadable file in 00 scale, that I have upscaled, and again I have to say thank you to Scalescenes. A reference sample... … and here the ready one: The curb has yet to be painted. I added an old van, too. RHD, yellow headlights, Jersey license plates. To cover the long „wall“ between the two floors, I added some rocks, made of small styrofoam boards and I also added some contemporary advertising posters. To be continued...
