During breaks in building the Tecno PA123, and as light relief, I've been working on several GTM kits including the Alfa 12c and Mercedes W154 and these are almost finished now (I need some brake drums from George T and to spend a bit of time on raising the guides - particularly on the Alfa). I tend to build George's kits as they come without much modification although in this case I did make some changes to the 12c as I wanted to depict the Coppa Ciano www.circuitodelmontenero.it/17/foto.php car of 12 September 1937. This entailed adding some louvres to the bonnet and to the front of the car, adding a second rear view mirror and starting handle, modifying an Immense Miniatures Nouvolari figure and substituting aluminium tube for the resin exhausts. The Dick Seaman 1938 German GP Mercedes is almost untouched apart from inserting a couple of ferrules into the holes the grille. The mechanicals are as recommended by GTM but the wheels are Peter Seager-Thomas masterpieces and they really are marvellous! Both cars perform very well on my Ninco track 'straight out of the box', without any weight being added, are quite evenly matched and are fun to drive. Back to the Tecno now - I hope to post some more pictures this weekend. Best Regards David

Hi David.
I've moved this to latest builds section where i suspect you intended to put it.
The new louvres on the Alfa match the originals so well that an observer would assume the body was made like that.
I still have not yet tried my Alfa properly though this Wednesday at the club we try out 60' circuit for the first time, so I'm sure everyone will be testing, the Alfa and me included.
I'm looking into the correct radiator badges for this car, I'll let you know how I get on.
Peter.
