Been in and out of slot cars since I was 5 years old, back in due to 4 year old grandson, I have a scalextric mini clubman shell going to put homemade brass chassis under it for him.
My own project is a 1960 1/32 cox Cheetah I picked up at a car boot sale for £6, hand painted and a headlight cover missing, but working.
Will post pictures when I work out how to do it!

I have not picked up a soldering iron in 30 years!! When these are done, I intend to build series of F1 Mclarens from 1968 to 1971 the orange ones.
Hope to get inspiration from you guys.

Welcome to the Forum.
We are a friendly lot here so perhaps you'd care to sign off with your christian name.
I think you will find that many dabble with slot cars as time permits, then in later life it becomes a predominate hobby.
You will also find that many (like myself) dabble in all manner of slot cars, so we'll just look forward to your first open wheeler project on this forum.
Welcome again, Peter.
