I had to make my own decision, and I decided to build #20. Here is the result: Finishing the paintjob, I have made some small mistakes, so the result is not the one, that I wanted to achieve. Aurora, the car is a little bit lighter, than my Matra (77 / 80g). It is a little bit slower, than the Matra, too. Comparing my 4 „Gpd“-cars, today I have driven the following hotlaps (12V, 24 degrees Celsius): Ferrari 246 (GPd2012) = 6,183 sec BRM V12 (GPd2013) = 6,282 sec Matra MS9 (GPd2014) = 5,748 sec. Lotus 43 = 5,887 sec. The gears of the Lotus are going a little bit rough at the moment, may be I will change this until the series will start. The car doesn´t handle so easy as the Matra, it´s a little bit more nervous.

As I had told you above, the gears of the Lotus were going rough, and I don´t like to have cars, that are not race-ready... I tried to do some adjustments, but there was no success. So I decided to grind the gears. I took a „third hand“ and an old modelrailway-power supply. I used tooth-paste and grinded about 30 min. at 3V. Now the gears are running smooth. Nevertheless, this didn´t have any impact on the laptimes. You can see, that I have managed to put in a complete drivers figure.... but I had to cut Jim into two pieces. I apologize for that...
