I built this slot car for the Walkden Fisher Race Meeting at Pendles in 2005. It depicts Jo Bonnier. I used one of Mac Pinches excellent PreAdd bodyshells. The car was built as a pin guide type for the convention but I subsequently converted it back to a flag. David

David,
I like the contrasting mirrors.
Did you craft Bonnier from an Airfix military figure?
The color scheme is interesting. Would those be Swedish racing colors as a nod to the driver? Or did Centro Sud use blue, yellow and white on all of it's cars during that period?

I can only guess that the team had to borrow one of the works team's mirrors at the track, hence the different colours.
You're right about the Swedish colours, Centro-Sud did the same for Masten Gregory and ran the car in USA colours.
The driver is a conversion of an Airfix kit soldier, the head is a conversion of an SCX Vintage head.

David, great looking driver, and car. What year is it, so that I can add it to the title?

I modelled the slot car on the 250F that Bonnier raced at Pescara in 1957.
