Thanks Chris.
Inserts? weren't they very similar to the D Type Jaguar Dunlop wheel?

Looking very nice, John. But surely you won't try casting it with the roll bar still on?

Hi John
You've done a superb job on the Honda and the 'pipes. It would seem the tooling board has worked well. I really look forward to seeing the casting. I think George Turner may have suitable wheel inserts, also I think RS have them.
Best Regards

Thanks chaps...Martin, that hoop is separate and will be cast that way.
Thanks for that David. I have something in hand that I think will be suitable. I must check my rim situation though.
And yes I am looking forward to seeing it in the resin, myself.

I still cannot leave it untouched...last night and tonight I worked on the rear side indents. Now I have a question. I am turning my attention to some detail on the nose and sides. Should I add rivets now or is that something to leave for the prospective builder? I have the Archer decals but also some brass ones on the way. Any thoughts appreciated.

John, those side "gills" are still not upright. As for rivets, use the Archers when you are really finished with the shaping, detailing and finish. They are always the last thing to go on. If you can put your last coat of primer on very thinly, over the rivet decals. It's what I did on the Hondola and BRM.

That rivet detail does look very convincing. Now I see how they are best used. I've seen them applied after and I can always see the edge of the decal sheet, which as a rivet counter does upset me.....
Lovely job. I do feel the friendly business of showing each other what you are doing is pushing the quality of mould production on this forum.
Long may it last guys.

The rivet detail does look nice. Archer rivets really don't show any carrier film.
I always say, if you can dot better, quicker or cheaper, show me how. No "Arts and Mysteries" tosh this end of things!

We have resin....x 3. The exhausts are proving a challenge to cast, the driver back rest will do and the screen block needs reshaping(I know Martin!!!)

Hi John
The Honda looks great. You're a natural carver! And that tooling board didn't work out too badly either did it?
Best Regards
David
