While I was looking around at my local hobby shop I noticed a new rack of aerosol paints from Tamiya. They were all for aircraft of different types but I noticed a AS-12 Bare metal silver paint. I have a new GTM W125 kit on the way so I picked it up to give it a try. I must say that the paint turned out great with very little grain showing and a nice semigloss finish that covered extremely well. As soon as Photo Bucket decides to cooperate I will post a photo.
Cheers Ken

It will be interesting to compare it to the TS-17(?)silver paint...do you have that one, Ken?

Hi John, yes I have painted a few Silver Arrows with TS-17 gloss aluminum and TS-30 silver leaf. This color comes in between them in the darkness of the colors. If Photo Bucket can ever load my photo's I will take a comparison shot of all three for you.

I thought about whether or not the clear would make a difference in the previous photo so while I was waiting for that photo to load I painted the W154 on the right with TS-17. Here are both colors side by side in just paint. What do you think? Ken

I prefer the appearance of the one on the left, Ken.

I am not sure which one I prefer but can see a slight difference...I guess I need to try it myself to know.
