Chris Wright and I met (at least over the internet) when I asked him to build this Championship car for me a couple of years ago. It's the jewel in my collection. In the event that you haven't seen it on other forums, Chris might tell you a bit about the build at some point. ] Modeled after Sir Jack's car as it appeared in the 1966 British Grand Prix.

I don't know...if they did it would take an enormous amount of fun out of the hobby. When was the last time you saw a Scratch built Lotus 49 or Eagle? Before Scalex made there's there were quite a few. But now.......... And the Scalex Eagle isn't very good. Isn't part of the fun, building a car that's unique?

Yes Chris I agree in part with what you are saying. However I do collect as well as build. The last time I saw a scratch built 49 was when I looked in my display cupboard. A Duck tail a 49 and 49B with and without High wing. But I did make them some while ago. Peter
