I'm doing up an Immense Miniatures head for one of Mr. Hill's drives. My hands and my eyesight are not up to the task of painting them. Any other tricks to doing the Rowing Club stripes on his helmet?

Any other tricks to doing the Rowing Club stripes on his helmet? Find a white unused decal, like a number meatball. Use a sharp exacto blade and cut small oblong pieces from it, place 8 on the helmet, let dry, and spray clear coat over them. see photo below. (those are Immense miniatures drivers too.) It's easy if you cut strips about 1/16' wide, then cut those into 3/16" lengths. Use a head magnifier, it makes it 200% easier. (and don't bother about getting the correct oar shape, you won't see it anyway.)

Or you could get some decals from Mel Ault at Pre-Wing who does several helmet decals including Mr Hill's.
Best Regards
David
