Val, if you met your "driver" (Bruce McLaren), then that certainly deserves some bonus points. Where and when? But then I would have to get the same points for getting up close and personal with Bruce way back in 1965. And then we should give Martini some points on account of his "experience"... And what about points for the stress David endured while his Ferrari was in the Bermuda Triangle for 3 weeks... And points for Aloha and Terry for traversing the great Pacific to get here... Heck, let's just award everyone some bonus points for showing up! I guess that nets out at even-steven to start this proxy, penalties excepted. Congratulations everyone!

September 26, 1964 Canadian Gran Prix. The first outing of the M1A. My family was heading back to East Aurora NY, after the race and we stopped at a gas station for our own pit stop. The M1A was on a trailer (unattended) out in front (my dad wouldn't let us touch anything)... he then took us into the bathroom and two men were just finishing up. When they left, may dad told us one was Bruce McLaren... being fairly young at the time, I would have to take his word for it and I never knew him to tell an un- truth.... is that close enough to keep up?
