Hello, my name is Thomas, I am from Germany and so far I have been a relatively quiet reader in this forum. Sorry for not introducing myself earlier and in the beginning of my membership here in the forum.
I am a 53 year old collector and amateur tinkerer with more or less success in building and modyfing of slot cars. So far my main interest has been in 1:32 and within prototypes and sport cars mainly around the 70-ies plus minus 10 years.
In the past I have always been fascinated by these scratch-build open-wheelers and the idea of sending those pieces of art somewhere around the world for proxy racing. This week I received the announcement of the upcoming proxy event in Canada. The target year 1967 with these very "pure" race cars so to say motivated me instantaneously to join the entrance list. I know also the humble quality of my builds with regard of finish and also speed on the track. Because of this story and to motivate myself to finalize this build I chose an exotic and in reality not very competitive car for this proxy.
I am looking forward to interesting times here in this forum and in the proxy race.
Best regards, Thomas

Hello Thomas, welcome to this forum. Please remember that there is a sister forum dedicated to sports cars. sports-car-132-forum.proboards.com/I'm sure we all look forward to seeing a build thread on one of your cars, and please remember that this is a forum where information is exchanged, so if you have a question regarding a build thread, ask a question of the builder! Welcome again, Peter.
