Well that comprehensively answers the original question, doesn't it? And that's an even closer shot of the team logo on the nose. Thanks Phil.

If I keep them in vector format, I can try Indycals. No more home printing for me except for paper proofs.

I'll be making 2 versions of the stripe. One with just the green border, and one with gray for silver in case I chicken out. Still need the script on the nose.

It is reasonably shiny but goes duller when the clear coat is applied. The Meatslic ribbons are too shiny but the silver is acceptable.

It says on the Indycals website FAQ he does not do custom work. Has that changed?

First go at chassis. Will need some tweaks.

That's pretty impressive progress, Marc. Is the 3D printed chassis your own design? Do you do all your printing in-house or shop it out?

Hallo Marc, Interesting concept. What is the background of this box in the front? Best regards, Thomas

Stewart Anything that needs to be surable,I send out to shapeways. This is their White Strong 7 Flexible material, it's a laser scintered nylon The box section on the front is an experiment, a kind of variation on a rattle pan. I'm going to try and lower the profile, so not as much of the driver is cut away. Thanks for looking, guys.

Marc Can I suggest that the link between the main chassis around the motor and the rear axle supports are too weak. There is a surprising amount of stress that goes through the pinion and the crown (as we found when building the Policar gearbox) and all of it manifests itself in that joint. Plus there is a risk that a good side swipe with a barrier will mean those flex sideways, temporarily making the gear mesh wrong. That can happen regularly around every lap and will soon affect the gear mesh permanently. Just my opinion of course but if you look at brass versions they are thicker than what you've got there in SLS! Best wishes Andi

I was just working on shoring up that area when I saw your post. My previous chassis have 1mm spring steel running through that area, so yeah, this one is a bit bendy. That and the area just fore of the motor was subject to twisting. Update: Beefed up the whole section aft of the motor-mount wall, added a brace aft of the bearing carriers, and added sone reinforcing rails either side along the length of the chassis.

Very very nice work! I've been following this thread closely having another M5A entered. Also a big fan of Immense Miniatures and so glad Bruce Mclaren was added to their offerings.
