Hi guys, one of my passions is to create perfect drivers for the slot cars. For me the helmet is very important, to give the car more realism. The helmet is made out of epoxy putty and cloned with resin. The details of the paint are handmade and refined with Tamiya spray. Thanks for your attention.
The ugly original helmets are replaced with these better helmets.
Absolutely brilliant! I run into this forum looking for a solution to a little problem. I wonder if you could help me.
We have a pretty cool Carrera digital track at home. We race often F1 cars, made by Carrera. My son is a great fan of Fernando Alonso's (me too!), so we try to get as many of Alonso's cars as possible. Unfortunately, Carrera has not made any of McLaren's latest cars, so it is being a while since we could add a car to our collection.
However, this year Carrera has produced some sort of 'generic' F1 car for the 2017 season. So I started to look into "making" one of these cars Alonso's McLaren MCL32 as a nice Christmas present for my son. I am not particularly handy so I was happy to find in Australia a producer of stickers that I could use to "convert" a Carrera Red Bull livery into our Alonso car. Unfortunately, there are no stickers or decals for the head and helmet!
I would be happy to consider paying you for creating such a head in 1/32 scale for Alonso's helmet in the 2017 season. I don't even know if it is possible to easily remove the original head with another one without damage, but I would like at least to consider the option.
