Thanks! Andi, is there a special reason why this is your fav F1 car? Purely aesthetics or did you actually see it race? I know my all-time favourite is the Ferrari 312 T4. 1979 was the first year I visited two meetings; Zolder and Zandvoort and that made a lasting impression! Cheers René

No I was only born in 1973 and became aware of car racing at twelve so a bit of a late starter..... I just love the look of it, aesthetically. The blend of the high air intake into the bodywork I find very satisfying. I also like that it it asymmetrical! As a designer I find that fascinating. The flat wide body with the pure form of the cockpit sitting on top? No idea, why do any of us like things? It is (fortunately) largely a mystery isn't it? Cheers Andi

I actually learned a lot about F1 through my Polistil track like the makes of the cars and names of the drivers. Ferrari was my favourite team from the beginning (the name just sounded great and the blood red appealed to me). Jody Scheckter was my fav driver, also because I liked the sound of his name! So you can imagine what impression my first Grand Prix visit made on me; Scheckter won in his Ferrari (at Zolder). That year I also became a real fan of Gilles Villeneuve, my childhood hero. The B3 is indeed a very pretty car and just like you, I always liked the asymmetrical aspect of it. I have seen it 'in the flesh' at Goodwood once. It is really nice and quite small, certainly compared to contemporary cars. Cheers René

Hi Renè!
What a beautiful car you`ve made!
Fantastic transformation of the Polistil model into the gorgeus car you achieved.
One of my favorite car of the 70`s too... and that music from the 180 degrees V12 engine!
Regards, Dan.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the compliment! I also like the seventies style race cars a lot, just so cool.

Wow - how you have transformed that original Polistil body into that amazing build is incredible. Would love to see more photos at the point where you melded the new top parts to the main body - what you have created here is great.
Thanks for sharing.
