Andy at Ab-Slotsport has all three Beardog Chassis back in stock. (designed by yours truly with Andy Brown-Searle's input)Mk-1, Ideal for 3 litre cars, Mk-2, for large 1.5 Litre cars, and Mk-3, with centre flex design for small 1.5 litre cars. (Illustrated) designed specifically for Lotus 24/25 & 33's. The Mk-3 chassis will fit all 1.5 litre formula cars available including: Dave Jones, Classic, Penelope Pitlane, Pre-wing bodies and vintage Monogram, Airfix and MRRC. The Pre-wing Lotus 25 and forthcoming 25b were both designed with this chassis in mind. Motor in the chassis below is a Mashima, but the chassis comes with 2 motor mount plates, the other fits 030 and 050 mabuchi motors. Motor plates can be set for no-offset, or 1mm offset, and rear axle upright come in two versions for early or late F-1 cars. Are there instructions for assembling this chassis? I have no idea what a “flexi board, with a centre pivot utilising 1/16” bore tube and 16g piano wire." sdesign means. I have the chassis, but no idea how to assemble it except to solder on the kit components

What is the width of the chassis over the F/R suspensions?

Sorry Al, my fault for being tardy.
Chassis width to the outside of the uprights is:
Front: 33 mm Rear: 31 mm

Thanks, Chris - answers my question. With a (typical for the era) 7-8 mm tire, the track will work for many 50's cars. The scale 92" WB is also in the right range for some.
