Hi Stewart, thank you and thanks for remembering the VRAA cars. It's good to be back building. Both the Stebro (still the only Canadian F1 car) and Moskvich have some Formula Junior DNA in them. Lotus and Cooper Formula Juniors were your first slots cars? You gotta get them running again!

The only way to revive my vintage FJ's would be a motor transplant. An FF30 or FF50 can would do the trick, I think.

Perhaps you know all this already...
The FF30 and FF50 motors can be installed directly onto the plastic transaxle, in place of the open frame motor. I'll send you a link outlining the procedure.
Also, my understanding is that the Formula Juniors were produced in huge numbers. Inexpensive donor cars and replacement parts, including motors, are plentiful and easy to obtain.
