PCS Vintage 23'' Classic Spoke Alloy Wheels 25.5x7mm, Ref: PCS-32277
This product is a wheel/tire set that I plan to use on a Pre-War ERA Grand Prix car. As provided by the supplier, all four wheel/tire sets are the same diameter - 25.5mm. The alloy wheel itself is 21mm diameter.
According to some drawings I've found, but more importantly, according to my eyeball estimate, these tires are a pretty good representation of the FRONT wheels/tires.
However, for the rear, I would prefer a tire with a taller sidewall, which would result in a larger overall diameter. Also, the real ERA E-Type itself appears to run with larger tires on the rear.
There is the PCS Classic 15'' Spoke Alloy Wheel/tire 24x6mm, Ref: PCS-32246. These tires appear to have a taller sidewall than the Vintage tires. Perhaps they could be stretched over the Vintage wheels?
Does anybody have any suggestions for a larger tire that will fit the Vintage PCS spoke alloy wheels?
Matt

Maybe another option would be to retread the existing tires? Add a strip of tread around the circumference. Anybody have a technique for this?

Well. What about printing a tyre with an high-resolution 3D printer and copy it with a silicone mould an 2K PU. I have done that already. Best regards Thomas

Thanks for the suggestion Thomas. Both 3D printing and casting are technologies I'm looking forward to trying some day. They are both beyond me at the moment. Matt

I have an idea which I will try out and let you know...making the master tire is step one, moulding the master tire is step two, casting the master tire is step three.....probably possible.

I have just picked up on this post and had the same problem. I'm probably too late for the o.p. but it may help others.

Thanks, Skidmark.
I wondered about those and have now made a purchase based on your recommendations....no pressure though.
