Looks very clean, John (as usual)...what sort of paint did you use on the chassis?

Thanks Max....just an ordinary etch primer bought from my local hardware store. I use it to stop rust developing on the wire rod and also it makes the soldering look tidier.

Hardly a new build, but it is my entry. 1934 Bugatti T59, Nuvolari, Monaco. The next race (French) the Silver Arrows appeared.... The chassis had a few necessary mods. I was going to change the motor anyway, with a slower one now fitted. The plastic (non-complying) rear axle bushes were replaced by flanged ball races and the wire clips on the guide were shortened a little to bring them within the length of the car. Peter.

Nice car Peter. Looks unusual with the extra (fuel?) tank in the passenger side. Matchbox body? regards Eric

Hello again Max. The Auto Union arrived this morning. What can I say - its even better than it looks in the photographs, superb. I see you've used one of your very small rear brackets. The gear mesh is so smooth. I'll give the car a short run this afternoon to make sure its survived the journey in full working order.
Best Regards
David

Hi Mac
Yes there are some nice looking cars and a fair amount of variety. There's quite a lot of ingenuity in construction and motors (in the GP class). The first race looks like being on Good Friday on my track at Rockwell Park. Andi Rowland is joining me and it was the first date we could both make.
Best Regards
David
