Hi Andi, Nice to see the latest member of the family. So it's got the charms of it's mother and the T-shirt of it's father ;D Just joking around, anyway congratulations on being a fresh dad. It seem that I've mist the introduction of your child, is it a boy or a grill, always have problems identifying the gender of baby's, and what is the name? Cheers, Danny PS did you receive my latesed message?

Hi guys Greg Faasen here. I grew up in Bulawayo in the the sixtees and seventies so it was a no-brainer that John Love was my hero! Last saw him race in 1972, in his Brabham BT33, winning the Rhodesian Grand Prix. First saw him race in 1966 (Khumalo) in his Cooper, when he blew his engine. Most exciting race - 1967 at Khumalo when he passed Charlton on the last hairpin to win the race. Was at his memorial service at Clubhouse Corner, Kyalami, just after he died. Special man - magical times!

Welcome Greg. John Love was a great driver (I learned about him through some of Russell's posts). 20 posts get to you to John Love status here. Look forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Mark

Hi Mark Totally new to forums but look forward to being part of the group. I do have a number of photos I took on an old Brownie camera that I will add when I find out how! Do you know if there is any sort of historic racing group that meets in the Joburg area? All the best Greg

Greg,
Did you race in Bulawayo? I wonder if you remember the track in the Municipals Clubhouse, and people like Rob Pigott and Des Dunsire?
I raced with and against them for many years.
By "historic racing group", do you mean full-size or slot-size?
