Hello forum friends I am Nigel McKeone, f143, originally from North Eastern England I have been in Perth Autralia for 30,( how many), years. I made the move here after being persecuted by my own govt. A slot car enthusiast since 1960, and motor sport spectator from even earlier. I have settled on collecting 60s sports and Grand Prix cars with a sprinkling of various years and types thrown in as well. I served an apprenticeship as a mechanical fitter and owned cars as soon as I could afford them.My favourites were Lotus Europas. In the 70s along with friends I visited the Monaco GP for several years, but lost faith in F1 when price rises and restrictions were enforced. I fear my skills are not the best in this company, but I try with the spirit of a gentleman racer. I look forward to meeting you all sometime as I have to escape now and again to keep sane. Very best wishes to you all. Regards Nigel

Welcome to the forum Jean-Joseph. Thank you for including a link to your album. I just took a quick look at a few of the cars; really enjoyed your work.

Olivier and Chris,
Bienvenue sur notre forum.
(I hope that's close)
Chris, I purchased a couple of packages of your vintage drivers a while ago. They are very nice and I appreciate the variety. I just have to buy a few more cars for them to pilot!

Welcome Jean-Joseph, Chris and Olivier, it's great to see the French contingent present of the forum, please contribute often, and Chris I'll even allow some commercialism.
Please feel free to invite any friends that enjoy F-1 slot cars.
Again welcome, ...Chris

Welcome to all who have recently joined us at this forum, and an especially warm welcome to Frederic, whose interests are the same as mine, pre-war cars.
Gentlemen, please take the time (if it is spare!) to make an entry in the relevant section regarding your favourite build to date, and one of your current builds.
Welcome again, Peter.

Hi guys, Im paul elford - otherwise vicelfordfan ( no relation ). Love the period in F1 between late 60's and mid 70's. Never really done a full scratchbuild -only reliveries. Interested in all the bits and pieces like making wings, detailing front and rear suspensions but never had a go! I am in awe of some of the photos on here. Regards

I suspect I don't really need to introduce myself to most of the members here. In fact, I'm betting several of you will be swearing under your breath amd muttering, "I know that so-and-so all too well..."
I was terrifically honored to be asked by Chris to come a little north of the Wells hovel to do the concours judging for this year's GPdG and I had a great time. It was also great to finally meet the Beardog in person, as well as to make Jay Hardy's acquaintance.
I'll try not to be a total stranger here and also to do what I can to promote and expose this neat forum to a larger audience.
