Hi Nigel
As you may remember I carved this Ferrari a while back and it ran in a couple of Tasman series (rather unsuccessfully). John Warren moulded the master and then cast it in resin for me. I hope you don't mind me being pedantic but this isn't the Ferrari Aero which appeared at Monza in late 1963 but a Ferrari 156 '63.
Best Wishes
David

Hi David, thanks for the comment, it is nice to get one. I have used photos of your model as an assisted guide for my effort as it is a wonderful model Thanks for clarifying the exact model I will post a photo of the finished product sooner rather than later I hope. Cheers Nigel

Nigel, That looks like a great start. One of these days I might try carving a shell myself (Okay, who am I kidding, that's never going to happen!) How's the situation in WA for spare parts and supplies? I've got some wheels that are just the right size for your 156/3 if you are interested. And I am certain that Munter has all sorts of good such as windscreens and wheel inserts for the Ferrari (although I know you like to make your own.) Speaking of making your own, check this out. Blue StuffMy package, from Spain(!) finally arrived. best regards,

Thanks Mark, something spurred me on to do some carving, I’ll try and keep going.
You should invest in a short length of 25mm square balsa and stick some outlines on it, give it a go, you may surprise yourself, you are very good at details and finishing,
No reason you wouldn’t turn out something you like and different, it doesn’t take long, comparatively.
As for spares, phhh, the Australia post and their charges make something’s prohibitively over priced, then waiting and some people don’t respond, takes its toll.
And I think I will be in touch about some wheels later, as I have a few pieces of balsa left to do a couple of other bodies.
The blue stuff looks like something I have tried before with mixed success but I forget what they call it, and it came in different colours, so I will be interested to see anything you make.
All the best, Nigel
