Built in 2006. Pictures are thumbnails! Rudolf Caracciola, the great german prewar-ace drove this car in1932 and 1933, having a severe accident in the 1933-Monaco-race. A contemporary foto shows his car in german race colours: white. So I decided to build a white version of this car. The kit is a MacPinches-kit. Because of the similar shape of the Alfa to the Pink-Car Bugatti, I decided to use some PinkCar-spare parts for building the model, i.e. front- and rear-axle and the small PinkCar-motor. The steering front axle is fom the PinkCar-Auto-Union. The Chassis is made from PCB-sheet: Some Details of the chassis: Because of the little demand of these cars I glued the motor to the chassis using cyanoacrylate. On the track: Today, with a little bit more experience, I would build it in another way, for example I would use other wheels, other fixation of the motor, and I would do an other paintjob....
