Concours Judging was scheduleded at Jay's Grand Loop Raceway, last night 9/18/12.
Many thanks to Mr Greg Wells famous top guy at Slotblog, his many years in motorsports and the slot car industry were a very valuable asset in judging this years GPdG.
Scrutineering was performed by Mr Jay Hardy, he proclaimed every car legal, so now the racing can begin.
(when Dave Jones's car arrives)

Nice cars!
No entry from Chris this year? And I thought David Lawson was entering as well?

Alas no, last years build pushed my luck with Val, my wife, and this year pressure from work, and mild but persistent health problems (I gave up smoking) any way I had two choices, an Eagle Climax, or the Lotus 33/BRM, but just ran out of time. Oh and I forgot, I started this forum.
Maybe next year.

I remember those - never did like them much. I do remember how cheap they were when we visited Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe).
I preferred Lucky Strikes when I started, and Camels and Chesterfields later on, before I quit. I have been clean for 29 years now.
Good luck with quitting, Chris, it's the best thing you can do for yourself.

Now that I have these cars here for a couple days (waiting for the arrival of some nifty little packing boxes from Office Depot), I thought I would share some pictures of the nifty suspension and gearbox detailing on the co-winners' cars: Taffy's 1966 Ferrari 246 Charles' 1967 Ferrari 312
