I didn't intend to stir the pot by asking about available shells, but perhaps I have. I was trying to get a handle on what's out there--especially since this era of cars is one that I don't know all that much about. As for the regulations, I am confident that Ken will construct a good set of rules. Ken really appreciates the cars from this era, and just as importantly, he's an experienced builder and racer, and he knows how to organize and administer a proxy race series. (mild understatement here!) I spoke with Ken yesterday by phone. Needless to say, he's had a lot on his plate with family matters recently I am sure we'll be hearing from him soon. Cheers.

Yes, Mark, I'm sure Ken will take the right decisions and family matters always come first. We'll wait and see. Cheers, Danny

Hi guys after much thought and consideration about trying to get a proxy race going with many opposing views on what the cars should be I have decided that I do not dally into that minefield. So as of now there will be no pre war GP proxy race. Thank you all for your interest but I do not have the time to run two proxy races a year and compete in the rest.
Regards Ken

That is a shame Ken, however I can understand where you are coming from. Two proxies is enough for anyone.
I am continuing with a build up of my resin Merc 125 though as this is a new genre for me.
