Well Mark, it is true that Tamiya and possibly others do transluscent paints so I guess everyone has them and does that. I don't have them and just happened to look in my old pen mug on my desk and found one of about 12 Letraset markersthat I once had that was left there.... It just happened to be canary yellow and that just happened to look about all right.... The windscreen is a much modified Classic BT33 number by the way and 'almost' fits!

Sorry, forgot just good old Tamiya TS49. I find that applying more or less coats can give quite different results with a single coat being pjnky through to 4/5 coats being quite dark Ferrarish! This has say 3 coats and is sufficiently orange to give it the STP feel.

Andi, Did you apply the marker ink on the inside or outside of the screen, and if the latter, did you add clear coat or some other sealer? I'm wondering how well the marker ink would stick to the plastic.

Well i stressed over that a bit but decided that if i applied it on the inside i'd need to do it before gluing it on which might damage the colour from the gluing process.
Of course I was concerned that the decals, which on this car did bridge onto the glass screen would damage the yellow colour if i applied them last.
So i opted to put the yellow on absolutley last in top of the decals too.
Seems ok!
Then, now i live in the uk i can finally get some Klear so this was my first experiment using it by brush last of all but not over the yellow in case it messed it up.
In this build i found that useful as there was a lot of detail i didn't want to gloss over but wanted to build first and couldn't really mask....
