Thanks Matt, I am sure you will do really well as you have far more patience and, by the models you have shown already, skill than I have. Regards Nigel

Nigel
Don't put yourself down, your bodies aren't elementary they are what 1960s grand prix cars were - cigar tube shaped.
I agree they aren't the most complicated shape but you still have to get the shape and contours right and I'm sure when you've detailed and painted them they will look great.

[/img] A Lotus with more work done on the bare body, mounted on a chassis Thanks Nigel
Nigel, I like that stance of that car. Do you have that Lotus on a Penelope Pitlane chassis or one of your own? Cheers.

Nigel, Make sure that you have a balsa shell of a 1966-68 3 liter car finished before that long trip to the UK. I'm happy to provide suggestions. Best regards,

Thanks David, again and Mark. The cigar shape is the pretty basic as you say David and during making my cars, as you will understand I found a few of my own curves! Still I will be trying more, I have the Lola on the bench at the moment and I would like to do the BRP. Mark the Lotus is on a basic brackets and wire chassis with the 030 motor, I have 13 inch wheels on there but the tyres are not fitting properly. Also I have a Ferrari that is on a chassis from 66 but I am struggling with exhausts, inlets and actually coming to terms with finishing one of my bodies properly. I have this very bad habit of not finishing thi Thanks Nigel

i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc86/nigelmckeone/Slot%20cars/IMG_1620_zps18e7da9f.jpg [/img] OK, I tried firefox and in preview this worked. This is an attempt at the Vanwall VW14, I saw pictures of it at Goodwood and thought it would complement the 1.5 era. I worked from a few photos and a guess at the wheelbase being similar to most from the time. Its not quite right but I like it. As with some of my other cars it is running on a chassis but needs lots to do before it is finished, yes the wheels and tyres are far too big, but it was just to see it running on the track. Thanks Nigel

Hi Mark, I looked at this before and the picture was up with your comment, I look again and it has gone. I am not totally convinced it is photobucket, but then I am no Kim Dot com. I see in other threads that flikr has no photos saying they have been pulled. I do know trying to put the photos up is frustrating at times as the curser dances about upon pasting. I'll keep having a go and see how it goes. Thanks Nigel i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc86/nigelmckeone/Slot%20cars/IMG_1497_zpsc0c1ad02.jpg [/img]
