Chris Wright, my good friend, our colleague, and the fellow who started this forum, had a heart attack on Tuesday night. I just received a call from his wife. Chris had 100% blockage in all his major arteries, but the cardiologists were able to put in stints and did not have to do open heart surgery. Chris is in intensive care at the hospital. As I get more information, I will share it on this forum as appropriate. Please keep Chris, Valerie and his family in your thoughts and prayers. www.beardogracing.net/

I just saw Mark's e-mail. Chris is in my thoughts and prayers. Thankfully they did not need to perform open heart. Hopefully the stints will allow a complete recovery.

It's always good to hear of those situations where swift action averts tragedy.
Wishing you a rapid recovery Chris,
Peter.

I just got off the phone with Valerie. Chris still has a breathing tube in and cannot take solid food, so he'll probably be down to 140 lbs or ten stone or whatever the heck that is in kg before this is all said and done.
That being said, Valerie is feeling a lot more confident that Chris is going to pull through.
I called her from my office and read her all of your posts on this board as well as e mails I've received. She'll relay those thoughts to Chris, but I can tell you that she was very grateful for the messages of support. I'm sure it meant as much to her as it will to Chris.

This was shocking and very unpleasant news to hear early this morning!
Thanks to Ecurie Martini for letting me know. I've posted the info at Slotblog so we can get more people praying for Chris's full and rapid recovery.
When Chris is able to receive visitors, I hope someone will post to let us know.
Get well soon, Chris!
