I agree with Nigel, a track test was fair game for photographers in those days although when Lotus were building the monocoque T25 they strung a sheet up in the workshop to shield it from visitors.
The 21 is looking very nice Mark.

I needed to construct a new instrument panel, reset the driver and fiddle with a few more odds and ends to get the shell to fit the way I wanted. I still haven't put on the rear shocks/springs, upper trailing arms or the roll bar, but the car is zipping around pretty well on my track. Of course, negotiating a small Ninco oval isn't much of a test (as has been proven with some of my other builds for proxy races). In any event, here's a picture.. the resolution is a little better and I finally have all 4 wheels with the correct inserts. This car is bound for Australia next month.

Hi Mark
The 21 improves every time you reveal the latest developments and Mr Clark looks very relaxed now. The absence of side panels will be very beneficial in the Australian heat.
Best Regards

Sadly, my Lotus 21 will not be embarking for Australia. The Solarbotics motor seems to be on its last legs, and given the brilliant way ( ) I put this car together in its last iteration, there is no chance of a motor swap and not enough time to build yet another chassis. I should have stuck with the FF050 motor which was the very first build way back when. Oh well.

Finally completed. Rebuilt twice, so almost ten years a WIP. Well here it is.

And worth the wait too I'd say. It looks excellent. I hope that you are pleased with it. David.
