Cracking photo, but it's not Jackie in the 1968 dutch GP, which my car is modeled on.
My wheel inserts have arrived, there painted and fitted. Hopefully my decal paper will arrive tomorrow, so I can do the Tartan.
Dave's going to take some decent photo's of the car for me, which will be my final picture post of my Matra MS10.
That really is a great picture and interesting in the fact Jackie has a silver fire retardant suit on.
Cheers.
Brian

Hi Mark, Yeah I have a similar photo, I've been working from. I've fitted a visor with the clip and the silver outline. However I could only get a head with goggles and his cloth I Milliput'd onto his face. Final photo's coming soon, when I have fitted his tartan band. Thanks. Brian

Evening Gents, Well it took some time, but a last my Matra is finished. Dave, thank you for the fantastic photographs and Mark thank you for the Stewart tartan. Thoroughly enjoyed every part of doing this car and cannot wait to start my next build. Just ordered a Lotus 16 shell. Thank you to all for your kind words, advice and patients while I did this build. Cheers. Brian

Congratulations Brian. I wish my first effort had looked 1/10 that good; (it didn't and the less said about that the better). Very nice presentation. The next car should be green.. very very dark green if you know what I mean. Cheers.

Thanks Gents for the great comments.
I have a few car shells on order, two of which will fit in perfectly on this forum. A Lotus 16 and a Ferrari 156 "Shark Nose". Still under investigation which particular Drivers/races I will do, but that's part of the joy, doing the research.
But I'm looking forward to it. Learned so much from my last build.
They may take a while as I'm about to attend college in an attempt to finish my Second Engineer(Marine) qualifications.
I will not post as many pic's on my next efforts, as in my excitement I may have over posted this time.
Thanks for all the kind remarks, advice on my build and thank you all who share their wonderful builds on this fantastic forum.
Best regards.
Brian

Dave's photographs are excellent and my little car looks at home on his beautiful track.
Nigel, being honest I am very happy with how it turned out, I didn't think I had the patients for it.
David, I ran the Matra in the Pre-wing F1 class last night at my club and it did really well. I held back a little as I was terrified of destroying it. But I did manage two second places, it may have been three(I need to check out the club stats when they have been published). The good thing though, the car suffered no damage and only deslotted once.

Brian, Whenever you worry about your car de-slotting or worse, remember the words of Rocky Russo, aka 'Professor Fate', "They are doomed, they are all doomed". That being said, I have still not mentally prepared myself to risk my BRM P61 in a proxy race series. But, that doesn't prevent me from passing on advice to others... so race boldly. What is broken tonight, can always be repaired tomorrow.
