Everyone has their favorite paint and clear-coat, mine are Tamiya. Below are my recommendations, they're not set in stone, they're just what I can get in the USA & they work for me, now if I could just get Tamiya Gloss Clear. All suggestions are welcome, but some paints aren't available in every country. www.tamiyausa.com/articles/ln/72/TS-chart.pdfEagle Climax and Weslake Tamiya TS53 Deep Metalic Blue Lotus 16 thru 49 Tamiya TS43 Racing Green and TS16 Yellow Brabham BT7 & BT11 Tamiya TS9 British Green and TS84 Gold Cooper All Tamiya TS9 British Green BRM All Except Early V-16 Tamiya TS9 British Green, with over dust of TS55 Dark Blue coated with TS65 pearl clear Early BRM V-16 Tamiya XF21 Sky BRP Cars Tamiya XF21 Sky Matra Tamiya TS10 French Blue Ferrari Tamiya TS8 Italian Red Lola Mk4 TS55 Dark Blue and TS49 Bright Red McLaren M7s TS56 Brilliant Orange Hondas TS26 Pure White. McLaren M7s Brilliant Orange TS56 or Camel Yellow (yes yellow) TS34 are both good options in my opinion. Agreed
Hondas: I'm not all that keen on TS7 Racing White. Chris weigh in. Use TS26 Pure White.
Porsche 804 Chris, which of Tamiya's many shades of silver do you prefer? TS17 Gloss Aluminium
Rob Walker liveries: I prefer Dark Blue TS55 I agree
All these suggestions have been added to the Master Tamiya recommendations.

Tyrrells: TS15
I'm going to disagree on TS34 for McLarens.
A couple for helmets:
Niki Lauda - TS36
Emerson Fittipaldi (at least through 1974) - TS36 for the red (it was definitely dayglo) and TS51 over TS36 for the dark blue. (i.e., paint the whole helmet dayglo red, then mask off an apply TS51)
Jim Clark, TS55

Any suggestions for the Nurburgring Brabham BT3 of Black Jack? Try TS-23 light blue, or TS-41 coral blue.

Chris, Thanks!!!!! The TS-41 is an excellent match over a grey primer! I love it. With that gold stripe it will look killer! I thank you and your group!

If anyone is interested in Jack's Lotus 24 which was listed as an "apple green" I'd look at 2 or 3 coats of Tamiya Clear Green over TS16 yellow.
