This is from the Penelope Pitlane kit. Its had a fair bit of modification to reach this point. Now it needs an undercoat to see what else needs sorting before moving forward.

Well Andy, Technically I can let a 1970 car stay in the up to 1970 section, but a 71 car needs to be moved, so this one has been moved to 70's and onward. Cool car what livery does it get?

Hi Andy
Not my era of course, but coming on really well. I wish my eyes were as good as your camera lens...

Aha! I see that in the never-ending quest for lightness the trailing arms are tubular not solid – nicely done.

This is the kit I wish I could have three of then. Nice mods to the basic bodyshell and to my eye this might be the Emmo one? Probably wrong but interested in seeing this develop.
Cheers

Emo yes, i forget but think it is the British GP, when the top air scoop first appeared...
I've just cut out the driver (it deserves a full length figure) and made some other mods before spraying.

Hi Andy, beautiful work, I've just finished a couple of these myself. Can I ask how you did the exhausts they look superb, I left the kit ones on mine and regret it now seeing yours!!!

Hi Marlon, the exhausts are just bent plastic rod. The lower chassis sides were drilled to give a good positioning and strong hold. I just bend the rod (evergreen) but have heard others use candles to heat it to help with this. The trick was researching the exhausts. The manifolds changed at least 3 times in the course of the 72's life....

I HATE paint and these 3 colour liveries drive me MAD!!!! Two weeks and two attempts at each colour finally got me to here, not completely happy but near enough satisfied.

Well the decals are a mixture of home made, PP and Indycals I think.... Its nearly there, just the cockpit and driver to go.

Hi Andi, Great work, congratulations ! The amount of details that you added is fabulous !
Some questions : what are those motor trumpets ? are these Ostorero tires and wheels ? paints are Tamiya ?
Best regards ! André Acker.

Thanks André Motor trumpets are slot.it eyelets. Yes, Ostorero and Tamiya. Rear wheel and tyre combination might be changed later - not sure yet. And of course the goodyear decals need to be removed on the front!
