A George Turner ERA, this is one driven by Geoff Ansell in the 1948 British GP at Silverstone. This car has a couple of differences to those I have built earlier. A digital conversion has been made initially for my next race day in early February. a standard F1 chip is fitted, space was made through the use of a Beardog motor, though i think a standard FF 030 would fit, some way or another. Standard spec for A and B type ERAs was 16" all round, though for Brooklands, 18" wheels were often fitted to the front, or indeed, all round. Later (IFS) cars came standard with 18" front wheels. This car also has 18" front wheels. Peter.
