Just realised the Ferrari 312B does not meet the regs, as my model is powered by a slot.it flat 6 boxer motor and not the required slim-line type. Can I please change my entry to #9 Tyrrell Ford 002 Francois Cevert USGP winner. Thanks Dave

No problem Dave, I was thinking maybe you were going to build a new chassis with slim line motor for the Ferrari! Which you can still do of course. Probably too stressful right? Personally I hate returning to a model once its finished..... OK great the Tyrrell is perfect. Thanks for entering.

Racing number 7 has been reserved by a 'secret' bidder!
That makes 12 entrants so far, not bad at all and certainly more than I had imagined! Thanks guys, looking forward to see the builds taking shape in due course....

Secret Bidder?!!
I like to know the names of the builders whose cars are going to leave mine in the dust!

Don't be so hard on yourself Mark, perhaps you will find your particular skills lend themselves to the wonderful colour schemes and additional forms present in this era.......

I think it's best that I stick with a simple color scheme. I'll have more than enough challenge adding that ugly slab behind the wheels.

Dear All It occurs to me, now that we are just a few weeks before Christmas and therefore the deadline that most of us could do with a few weeks extra to complete our builds... So having taken some advice i've taken the decision extend the entry date until 28 February.
My apologies to anyone building hard to make the date but I think it will help most of us to achieve a better result (and indeed might meN the difference between an entry and nothing for some!).
Cheers Andi

Hi Andi
Thanks, that's good news! I'm more or less on target but extra time will definitely help.
Best Regards

Dear All As a few of you know my father passed away last week and i've spent quite a lot of time over the last months ensuring his passing was as comfortable as possible. I've also been spending a lot of any time left over finishing off the Policar March 701.... All this has meant i've i've not had the time to keep the energy going for this series.
Now I find its the new year and i'd like to get back to it, organise the ambitious race series and get everyone motivated to complete their builds.
So far I see substantial work by myself and David M. Dave W. Already has a car and Graham L. and Mark H. have started something. David L. has that Lotus part built that i'd love to convince him to enter. That would be six and on that basis i'd do the series as a first year....
Has anyone else got anything started and would they like to participate? Chris, Tyrrell?
What realistically do people need in terms of time?
Any feedback gratefully appreciated....
Thanks Andi

Hi Andi
My heartfelt condolences. Unless its good therapy for you I don't think you should be worrying about the proxy series and I'm sure none of us is going to fret if you defer the start date or decide to postpone the series, say, until the Autumn.
As far as I'm concerned I have to get my car to you by 8 February (after which I'm out of the UK for three months). At the moment I don't see a problem with doing that but I'm content with whatever you decide to do.
Best Regards
David

Andi
Although I said some time ago I might enter a car in this proxy I haven't been able to do any model building for quite some time and the car (not the Lotus 76) that I have in the early stages of preparation hasn't progressed. Please don't bank on me making the grid this year.
