Perhaps a bit too modern for most, but this is on the workbench - an Ostorero kit of Ronnie Peterson's 1978 Lotus 79, which I'm hoping to finish in time for the Presto Park International event in October - see www.slotforum.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=60462Kind regards, Russell

Interesting kit that one Russell. I made one back in 2009. In fact it was the first kit / build I ever did! I remember the instructions don't exist so it was a bit tricky but maybe now i'd have more experience....
The brass bushings had a 2.5mm bore with a 3/32 axle and the bushings didn't have anything to hold them in!
In fact i've never got the car satisfactorily set up for racing so let us know what you do.
Oh and if you want to replace the motor with a slim line drill out the screw positions before bending up the chassis! They're on opposite corners.
Another bit of advice - test fit the drop down skirts a hundred times before fixing. The kit was so vague I glued the skirts before realising they could be mobile.
Finally - cut out the extremelly flimsy resin roll bar and glue in a bent brass replacement from now. It'll prevent any tears later......
