My name is Chuck Martin and I'm from Pennsylvania. I've rediscovered slot cars after a long absence. I mostly enjoy the 50's and 60's era,( guess you can tell my age) especially the craftsmanship of the very talented scratch builders.
I'm a retired pilot but still fly for fun especially sea planes, however not much opportunity to do so here in Pennsylvania, but on our vacations to Florida in the winter and Maine in the summer, I get to log several hours in both locations.
I enjoy 1:1 scale cars as well, I have owned over 33 Porsches and currently own a 1968 912. My daily driver is a Jaguar XK-S. Attend many vintage events at various venues. Also enjoy vintage motorcycles.

Nigel,
I have several Cartrix 804's, but have not found any 718/2's. I am no good at scratch building sadly.

Maybe it's worth giving it a try then Chuck. I wasn't a builder until I started reading the forums, then I give it a go. Now I make my own bodies for the cars I want and can't get. Only trouble is though, it is time consuming and if you have other interests it can cause a conflict! Cheers Nigel
