I've just completed the designs of the second Policar release to twin the Lotus 72....
It is of course the March 701 - here seen as the Tyrrell version but several versions / liveries will be made.
Cheers Andi

No Andi we're not bored, we know we'll see stuff when the time is right.
Making a scratch built slot car properly takes months, so how long does it take to get a production slot car finished? ....a long time, so Andy take your time and do it right!
This forum is called the 1/32 scratchbuild forum, not the RTR forum.
We are honoured to see Andi build from scratch a production slot car. Who else would do that?

I suspect the wait is because every effort is being made to get these cars just right. I'm sure everybody who reads this forum has purchased cars in the past that really needed a bit more development before going on sale. And it would be nice to buy a car which doesn't need a load of after-market parts to go well. I have spoken to someone who has driven the Policar prototype and it looks to me like this car will fit the bill,so to speak. Kudos to Mr Rowland and all involved in this project-I want several! TED....
And a Ferrari 312B.

I was looking at various liveries of the March 701 and I reckon Hubert Hahne's silver car looks fantastic-anyone agree? TED....

I can't personally wait for Peterson's 'Antique Automobiles' version. Just so incongruous.....

I have seen it written that one of the team cars was painted day glow pink for some reason I now forget to differentiate it from the other two. Maybe I recollect it got sold and they quickly repainted it?
Anyway I've never seen a photo of that but if I could find one I reckon I could get that one made too....... Anyone here know anything about that?

Yes it was Andretti at Kyalami, the car's first outing.... That photo you've Dded in says Andretti on Google but the body clearly states AMON, Chris.....

Chris, thanks for the pic of HH's March-illustrated my point nicely! I like all the liveries of the 701.There was one in the Tasman series driven by Chris Amon and David Oxton (not at the same time-two seater F1s came later!) that looks orange. I don't think its the Gunston car-anyone know any more? Certainly no shortage of liveries-historic F1 slots should have plenty of variety soon..... TED...

Hmmm, racingsportscars believes this photo is the British GP and that the race number at Kyalami was no. 8!
With a b+w photo of course....
So now to search for no. 8.... Second question then whether the colour changed betweeen Kyalami and UK?

I'm bored and want to see the action....
So, it looks like I'll be racing 1970's stuff after all. It will be a delight to just examine in closely, then race with it. Then examine it closely again and race it..........
i look forward to each report on these cars,
Peter.
