Chaps
I'm in the process of preparing 002 Tyrrell for painting, and have absolutely no idea which shade of blue to buy. If anyone could recommend a tin from Halford's I'd really be most grateful.
Many thanks

I've used Halfords Vauxhall Regatta Blue and Halfords Ford Royal Blue and think they are both very close to the correct shade.

David
My most grateful thanks to you. Provided Storm Barney doesn't blow me across to Norway I shall endeavour to get to Halford's asap.

Better late than never....
I would also add my vote for Vauxhall Regatta Blue. I have used it on all my 1970's/early 80's Tyrrell builds.

Again, my most grateful thanks. Vauxhall Regatta Blue seems to be favourite. Of early Tyrrells it's difficult to imagine that what seems like yesterday to me is actually 45 (circa) years ago. Even more poignant in the evolution of Grand Prix cars is turning back the clock 45 years from the time that a Tyrrell was first launched.
Yep, you arrive in around 1925 when the GP world was populated by Bugatti, Delage, Sunbeam, Alfa Romeo and many other long-since defunct GP contenders.
Gosh, the endless march of the old enemy, Time, is relentless. Incidentally, it's also 45 years since Steve McQueen filmed Le Mans.
Who's for guessing where F1 will be in 45 years from now?
Yours almost certain that the best days have gone
