It has long been said that a diplomat is someone who makes his guests feel at home when he wishes they were at home so, in between entertaining chums and relatives this Christmas, how many of us will be sneaking off to the slotroom for a few laps and a snifter before the next lot arrive...
What will you all be hoping to find in your stockings this year? Which five fabulous slot cars are missing from your collection you'd love to try on the track after your guests have departed.
There are tons missing from my collection but the ever-elusive A-Type Connaught, 312B, Lotus 33, Type 35 and non-existent A-Type Auto-Union would certainly help to forget the antics of aged aunts who seem to drift in and out proffering extreme criticism of my personal taste in post-prandial imbibing.

Would that Type 35 be the Bugatti Type 35?
If it is I have some ingredients of two origins that once mixed and stirred might produce a nice piece of cake with a pleasant texture and hopefully not too crumbly.

Yes indeed a Type 35 Bugatti of which there is a dearth of slot car versions. No shortage of real Bugattis, though. Of the 3,000, or so, cars made at Molsheim there are only about 10,000 left...

Yes a bit like Ferrari 250 GTO's......twenty six were made and all thirty five of them were at the Classic car event.

Sorry to be a bore but, during 1962, '63 and '64, Ferrari made 40 GTOs including a 3-litre car with an LMB body.
